Generosity
Read 2 Corinthians 9.6-15
“You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God” (2 Cor.9.11)
Giving is a grace. God delights to give to those whom He knows will themselves delight to give: His gracious gift to us in Jesus creates a people who are themselves ‘cheerful’ and generous givers, through whose giving others learn to praise, thank and trust Him.
What principles does Paul set out in this passage to inform the way in which you give of yourself and your resources to the Lord?
What is the surpassing grace God has given you and how will you best respond to Him in the way you live?
Prayer: Lord of all bounty, I give You my heart: I praise and adore You in whole not in part. You have given me all things in Your love: help me to hold back nothing from You.
