Lordship

Read Deuteronomy 30.11-20

“I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live ..” (Deut.30.19)

“The LORD is your life!” Relationship rather than mere regulations is what Moses (and the whole of the Bible!) is on about – you have the Lord, you have life. But it’s on His terms you have Him: He leads and shows you the way to live.

How do you avoid Jesus’ lordship over your life resulting in legalism in your life?

You’re called to ‘love the LORD your God’, a relational commitment: what will that loving the Lord involve for you?

Prayer: Fill Thou my life, O Lord my God, in every part with praise, that my whole being may proclaim Thy being and Thy ways (Horatius Bonar).
