“.. ‘See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes’” (Mal.4.5)
The verses which close the message of the prophet (and after which there’ll be silence for a good 400 years) bring to a head the essential practical thrust of the whole Old Testament: listen to its message and heed its summons.

Prayer: Help me, Father, daily to fix my eyes on Jesus– to remember who He is, what He’s accomplished, how He works, and why He matters: and then to live in that light.
