Troubled
Read Daniel 2.1-3
“.. ‘I have had a dream that troubles me and I want to know what it means ..’” (Dan.2.3)
Politically powerful. Materially prosperous. Intellectually able. Physically strong. You can have everything going for you, but God has His ways of waking you up to what’s crucially missing from your life. The king’s bad dreams were meant to wake him up!
In what ways can you see that ‘bad dreams’ are troubling people around you in our affluent society today?
Are there little ‘niggles’ which are troubling your mind and heart today? Ask the Lord to reveal what the problem is and what the remedy is.
Prayer: You have made us for Yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in You: ‘trouble’ me, please, whenever I start to wander from Yourself.
