Radical
Read John 3.3-4
“.. no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again ..” (Jn.3.3)
Jesus goes straight to the radical point. To know the new life of the kingdom of God, there’s the need for a new start. Nothing you bring to the table (pedigree, position, performance, etc), counts for anything. You must ditch them all and be born again!
How has God shown you the need that you have for this radical ‘re-birth’?
In what ways is the being ‘born again’ of which Jesus speaks here so wholly different from the idea of ‘re-incarnation’?
Prayer: Nothing in my hands I bring, O Lord: simply to Your cross I cling. Naked I come to You for dress, helpless I look to You for grace – for without You I can do nothing.
