Surprise
Read John 4.7-10
“.. you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water ..” (Jn.4.10)
The woman was in for a few surprises! The circumstances were surprising – a Jewish man speaking with her, a Samaritan lady and asking for her help. And Jesus’ statement was surprising too – ‘living water’. It rang loud bells in her heart. She was thirsty!
How often have you found that the Lord surprises you by what He does or by the way He speaks right into your heart?
What are you thirsting for more than anything?
Prayer: You alone, O Lord, can satisfy and quench the thirst and all the longings of our hearts. Give me that ‘living water’ again today that I may refresh those around me.
