Amazement
Read Luke 24.36-44
“They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost .. they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement ..” (Lk.24.41)
It took the disciples time to get their heads round the resurrection of Jesus. He took care to give them the time and space to do so, gradually getting them used to the reality and revealing Himself progressively to them.
Starting back in v.13, in what ways did Jesus progressively make Himself known to these disciples?
What significant ‘landmarks’ can you identify as you think back over the Lord’s progressively making Himself known to you?
