Laxity

Read Malachi 1.6-8

“‘If I am a father, where is the honour due to Me?’ says the LORD Almighty ..” (Mal.1.6)

This week’s readings all relate to Mal.1.6-14. It’s all too easy for believers to lose their passion for the Lord – and the cooling of such passion is often accompanied by a loss of ‘reverence’ as well.

Has your living become ‘lax’ and your giving less than once it was?

Do you view God as a Father whose love affords you security, and as a Master whose service gives you significance?

Prayer: Help me, Father, to revel daily in the privilege You have given me of being Your child and of sharing with You in the on-going work of Your hand.
