Reverence
Read Malachi 3.13-18
“.. ‘On the day when I act,’ says the LORD Almighty, ‘they will be My treasured possession. I will spare them ..’” (Mal.3.17)
The day of the ‘big divide’ is coming: and which side of the divide you’re found to be on will prove absolutely crucial. Which will have been the feature of your living – arrogance (3.13, 15) or reverence (3.16)?
What lay behind the complaint of those who ‘spoke arrogantly against’ the Lord?
What would have been the very different perspective of those who ‘feared the Lord’ to the circumstances which prompted the complaint?
Prayer: Grant me, Lord, in life’s dark moments the humility to accept there are things I won’t understand, and the expectancy to believe You work all things for good
