Necessity
Read John 4.1-6
“.. Now He had to go through Samaria ..” (Jn.4.4)
Most Jews studiously avoided going through the hated land of Samaria: this was more a vocational than a geographic necessity for Jesus. However hostile Samaria might be, there was work for Him to do, need for Him to meet, a life for Him to heal and renew.
Are there people today whom you know a certain constraint to see or be in touch with?
Are there people you’ve been avoiding for too long?
Prayer: Show me, Lord, where You mean me to be today, with whom You mean me to speak, and what You would have me say, that I may be a channel of Your grace.
