Jesus
Read Psalm 73.23-28
“Yet I am always with You: You hold me by my right hand. You guide me with Your counsel, and afterwards You will take me into glory” (Ps.73.23f)
To have Jesus is greater wealth than any which this world can offer (see Phil.3.8-10): as Asaph puts on the ‘spectacles’ of faith, he starts to view his circumstances and his world from a truer and healthier perspective. Learn to do the same!
What are the blessings a believer has, according to what Asaph writes here?
As you look back in what ways can you see the Lord having ‘guided you with His counsel’?
Prayer: Wean me away from all those other things, my Lord, which compete for the affections of my heart, and so make Yourself known to me that I shall desire only You.
