Resolve
Read Daniel 1.8-10
“But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself in this way ..” (Dan.1.8)
In a land whose culture is so at odds with a Biblical worldview, a believer’s resolve to live for the Lord requires wisdom (in discerning the issues on which to take a stand), boldness (in taking that stand) and trust (in relying on God to honour that stand).
