Believing
Read John 7.30-36
“.. many in the crowd believed in Him ..” (Jn.7.31)
Faith involves stepping out on the basis of what you do know and can know, instead of waiting until you know it all. They might still have had their questions, but the signs were there for those with eyes to see: and the signs all pointed to the Messiah.
John meant his readers to come to the same place of faith (Jn.20.31): what brought you to such faith?
If the signs confirmed the faith of some, His words confused the minds of others: are you more confirmed, or confused, in your faith in Jesus?
Prayer: Lord, I believe – help my unbelief! Help me to follow where You lead today, and when I find my circumstances baffling, help me to trust You in the dark.
