Read Daniel 5.10-12
“.. In the time of your father he (Daniel) was found to have insight and intelligence and wisdom like that of the gods ..” (Dan.5.11)
The king had clearly both disdained the sacred goblets of God and marginalized the servants of God: but God has ways of ensuring His message is heard – the ‘forgotten man’, who’d been the mouthpiece of God, was brought to the king’s attention.
Have there been times when God has used you as His mouthpiece in explaining and applying His message to someone else?
Have you been ignoring the preaching of God’s Word? Might this passage today be His way of bringing that to your attention?
Prayer: Give to me, O Sovereign Lord, a well-instructed tongue, that in all I say I may display an insight, an intelligence and a wisdom that is clearly from Yourself.
