Troubleshooter
Read Daniel 5.13-17
“.. ‘Now I have heard that you are able to give interpretations and to solve difficult problems ..’” (Dan.5.16)
The king was looking, and prepared to pay, for what would be a quick and ‘easy’ fix: to address and resolve what had been so very troubling, so that he could then get on with his self-indulgent living. God doesn’t deal in quick fixes like that!
What a great reputation to have! Are you viewed as someone who ‘sees’ problems, or someone who solves problems?
Are there issues in your life which need to be addressed today in regard to which you’ve been seeking a too-easy solution?
Prayer: In every situation impart to me again today, O Lord, the wisdom and grace I need to be one through whom problems are solved and not created.
