Endurance

Read Daniel 11.2-35

“.. but the people who know their God will firmly resist him ..” (Dan.11.32)

The long series of power struggles through the course of history is a reflection of the conflict (‘the great war’) in the heavenly realms: however alarming may be the events, however ferocious the assaults, the ‘wise’, who know God, will endure.

Why should you not be alarmed “when you hear of wars and rumours of wars” and when nation rises against nation (Mk.13.7-13)?

What steps might you take today to know God better?

Prayer: Oh to know the power of Your risen life, and to know You in Your sufferings; to become like You in Your death, my Lord, so with You to live and never die.
