Service
Read Romans 15.23-25
“I am on my way to Jerusalem in the service of the Lord’s people there ..’” (Rom.15.25)
Paul may have been an apostle but he viewed himself, even as such, as a servant: the servant of the Lord and at the service of the Lord’s people – as Jesus Himself had shown Himself to be. ‘What do You want me to do for you?’ He’d asked Bartimaus.
In what ways are you living out your daily life in the service of others?
How does such service honour those individuals, and how does it honour the Lord?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, You came not to be served but to serve, and You bid us learn to live that life of the kingdom: help me to see how I may serve the needs of others today.
