Read Luke 2.15-21

Mary and Joseph were good listeners. They listened to the shepherds’ testimony and pondered its implications. They heard what God’s Law commanded and heeded its call. They learned from the angel and followed his instruction. Learn to listen well!
In the aftermath of Christmas and as you move towards the end of the year, what has the Lord been saying to you?
Are there specific actions the Lord has been calling you take? And take today?
Prayer: Speak, Lord, Your servant is listening [1 Sam.3.9-10]. Help me to listen well, careful always to learn from Your Word, from Your Spirit and from Your people.
