Destiny

Read Psalm 122.3-5

“.. That is where the tribes go up .. to praise the name of the LORD ..” (Ps.122.4)

Jerusalem provided a picture of the believer’s true and final destination, and thus points up clearly the features of your destiny in Christ: strong relational bonds, rich antiphonal praise, and everything finally right.

In what ways does and should our Sunday worship point forward to the final consummation of God’s purposes in Christ?

What is the significance of ‘the thrones for judgment’ to which the psalmist refers, and why does the thought of them give him such joy?

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, that You have destined me for glory! May I live with such eager expectation today that my life shall be a signpost to that coming glory.
