Rejoice

Read Philippians 4.4-7

“.. in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God ..” (Phil.4.6)

Although himself in prison at the time, Paul’s exhortation to ‘rejoice’ was no hollow mouthing of any mere platitude on his part. Here are some very practical steps to help you address situations which make you anxious and enable you to rejoice.

What sort of things take away your joy and leave you anxious and troubled?

What are the problems you presently face? Make a ‘present’ of them to the Lord in the specific request that you bring to Him.

Prayer: Contend, Lord, with those who contend with me: arise and come to my aid. Then my soul will rejoice in You and delight in Your salvation (Ps.35)
