Excellence
Read Philippians 4.8-9
“.. if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things ..” (Phil.4.8)
It’s easy to get subtly sucked into the culture of the world around you without ever realising that that’s what’s taking place. That world is often ‘fault-finding’ and critical: be radically counter-cultural, cultivate a spirit of praise, and major on what’s excellent!
What do you fill your mind with when you’re not thinking of anything else?
To what extent do your words and deeds provide an example for others which itself is a channel through which God ministers peace to them?
