Read John 17.11-12
“.. ‘I protected them and kept them safe by that Name You gave Me’ ..” (Jn.17.12)
Our flawed humanity leaves us always exposed to the disintegrative forces of sin. Jesus’ presence with His disciples preserved them from all that would have otherwise pulled them apart and kept them together as a body of His followers.
Are you conscious of strained relationships in your own life today for which the healing and preserving grace of God is required?
What lessons can you learn from the way Jesus ‘protected’ His disciples when it comes to safeguarding your own relationships?
Prayer: Guard my lips, O Lord, that I may not occasion offence and cause others to stumble and fall. Help me to live at peace with one and all, so far as it lies in my power.
