Confidence
Read Daniel 3.16-18
“.. ‘the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and He will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if He does not .. we will not serve your gods ..’” (Dan.3.17f)
The testimony of Daniel’s friends in the face of the threats of the king provides a superb model of how, as believers, we respond to any sort of adversity which we may encounter: confidence, expectancy and trust.
How might you make the response of these young men to the king a pattern for your own praying about particular situations?
Does the resolve of Daniel’s friends challenge and encourage you today to take a clear stand on some matter?
Prayer: Almighty God, how great it is to know that You are able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or even think! Praise be to You for Your delivering power!
