Read Psalm 123.1-2
“.. our eyes look to the LORD our God ..” (Ps.123.2)
Service is a core value of the kingdom of God because it’s a key characteristic of the Lord Himself. You are saved, therefore, to serve. Remember, though, that the one you serve is the King, enthroned on high, ever mighty and ever full of mercy.
Who are the people who have helped you most understand the privilege of serving the Lord?
What was it about them which helped stir in your heart the desire to serve the Lord?
Prayer: Lord, I can never repay what You have done for me! May my whole life express lasting thanks for all Your mercy towards me. Help me to serve You well today.
