Prayer
Read Philippians 1.1-11
“.. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion ..” (Phil.1.6)
Prayer is the primary means by which we share in that work of God whereby people are wonderfully converted, and then gloriously conformed to the likeness of Jesus. It remains always God’s work, but prayer brings His hand to bear upon a person’s life.
For whom has the Lord laid it on your heart to pray with this sort of love?
To what extent do your prayers for others reflect the content of Paul’s praying here for the Philippians (vv.9-11)?
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for those who have prayed faithfully for me. Help me to learn to pray in this way for others, confident that You always complete what You begin.
