Read Romans 16.3-5
“.. Greet also the church that meets at their house ..’” (Rom.16.5)
God is Himself a ‘community’ – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Humanity, created in His image and likeness, was from the start similarly to be characterised by community – male and female He created them, for ‘it is not good for the man to be alone’.
In what ways has your life been enriched by sharing in the fellowship of other believers?
Have you ever risked your life for a fellow-believer or had fellow-believers risk their lives for you (it was not uncommon in the early church – see Phil.2.29f)?
Prayer: You have brought me into Your family and made me belong, Lord. Help me to be conscious of that privilege always and find ways to enrich the lives of others today.
