Read Ephesians 4.7-13
“.. so that the body of Christ may be built up ..” (Eph.4.12)
The Lord gifts His people variously, but always to the end that as they faithfully exercise those gifts, and do so in love, His people will be the better equipped to serve Him in the world and make Him known.
What gifts has Christ given you and how does the exercise of those gifts serve to build up the body of Christ?
In what ways are you aware of your own life being shaped by the exercise of those gifts which lie behind the varied ministry of God’s Word?
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for Your Word and for those who teach Your Word, equipping me for service. Help me today to serve You well in all I say and do.
