Re-creation

Read Philippians 1.3-11

“.. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion ..” (Phil.1.6)

Paul’s perspective mirrors that of Psalm 121. God has good and gracious purposes for His people: He who made the universe is committed now to re-making His people. He will see such purposes through to their true and final fulfilment.

What will the Lord’s ‘good work’ of re-creation in your life result in when completed?

Paul prayed in particular terms for the Philippian believers: for whom might you pray today in similar terms?

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for those who pray so faithfully for me. Teach me to pray for others in a way that seeks and secures Your own glory and praise
