Patient

Read Romans 8.22-25

“.. if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently ..’” (Rom.8.25)

The promise of God’s Word is supplemented with the gift of the Spirit who provides you with a tiny ‘taster’ and a guarantee of what’s been promised. You’ve been set on the path of life – there are joys and eternal pleasures still to come!

What does Paul mean by ‘our adoption to sonship’ and ‘the redemption of our bodies’ (v.23)?

Our culture isn’t conducive to patience! How can you best cultivate this grace of patience as you wait for the promise of God?

Prayer: When I walk through dark valleys, Lord, help me to fear no evil but to rejoice rather in the assurance that You are with me and that joy will come with the morning.
