Prayer
Read Psalm 129.5-8
“.. May all who hate Zion be turned back in shame ..” (Ps.129.5)
The Lord is not only righteous (v.4), He is also the one ‘who answers prayer’ (Ps.65.2). When you experience ‘oppression’ and suffer unjustly, you may bring the matter to the Lord in prayer: He will exercise wisely and rightly His judgment on all oppressors.
How do these verses ‘square’ with Jesus’ instruction to ‘pray for those who persecute you’ (Matt.5.44)?
What answers have you seen to prayer along the lines of these verses?
Prayer: How glad I am that as the Judge of all the earth You will always do, and secure, that which is right: I look to You, and trust You, to secure justice for Your people.
