Sovereign
Read Psalm 121.7-8
“.. The LORD will keep you from all harm – He will watch over your life ..” (Ps.121.7)
The LORD is sovereign in ordering well all the circumstances of your living – your daily ‘going out’ and ‘coming in’, and the ‘going out’ of your life as you move through youth to adulthood, and the ‘coming in’ of your latter years. He will keep you from harm.
As you look back over your life, in what ways has the Lord shown Himself so very sovereign in how your circumstances have been ordered by Him?
How does the constancy of God’s covenanted love for you in Christ afford you comfort and strength today?
Prayer: I’m glad You’re always there for me, Lord, helping me cope with adversity, hostility, and my own stupidity too: please keep me from harm today.
