Read Daniel 10.15-11.1
“.. ‘Do not be afraid, O man highly esteemed,’ he said. ‘Peace! Be strong now; be strong ..’” (Dan.10.19)
Daniel’s response to the sight of the ‘man’ on the river bank was mirrored in that of John in the book of Revelation – and the exhortation addressed to both is the same (Rev.1.10-17): it needs God-given strength to receive God-given truth.
Have you ever felt ‘overwhelmed’ by God’s truth as it has been brought home to your heart?
How might we recover something of the sense of the size and scale of the battle in which we’re involved as followers of Jesus?
Prayer: Strengthen me today, my Lord, that I may hear You speaking and may then be the conduit through whom Your truth is heard by others.
