Gifts
Read Romans 12.6-8
“.. we have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us’ ..” (Rom.12.6)
As a believer you are ‘in Christ’. You are part of His body, with specific functions to fulfil. Paul’s list here is illustrative rather than exhaustive: his intention is to exhort his readers to use their particular gifts and to do so to the glory of God.
What are your gifts and where do you ‘fit in’ to the body of Christ?
God in His ‘grace’ has made you who you are (see 1 Cor.15.10): in what ways might you ‘give yourself (more) fully to the work of the Lord’ (1 Cor.15.58)?
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for the gifts which You have given me. Please help me never to belittle their significance: and show me today how I may use my gifts for Your glory.
