“.. preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage – with great patience and careful instruction ..” (2 Tim.4.2)
Timothy had been tutored well, both in his early years at home and through his sharing with the apostle Paul on his missionary journeys: he knew first-hand what ministry involved – and what the faithful ministry of the Word of God effects.
What considerations prompted Paul to give Timothy this urgent charge?
Why is the teaching of ‘sound doctrine’ so important and necessary?
