Shepherd

Read Isaiah 40.9-11

“See the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and His arm rules for Him ..” (Isaiah 40.10)

It makes the world of difference knowing not just that the LORD comes, but who the LORD is: in our flawed and fragile state as sinful men and women, like sheep we all ‘err and stray’, but He comes as the good Shepherd, and His arm is strong to save.

From whom did you first hear the ‘good tidings’ which pointed you to Jesus?

According to v.11, what will the ministry of Jesus as the good Shepherd entail for His people?

Prayer: O Lord, You are my Shepherd, and therefore, You assure me, I shall neither lack for anything, nor should ever be afraid, even in and through my darkest days: carry and keep me close to Your heart.
