Honouring
Read Daniel 1.11-14
“.. compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see ..’” (Dan.1.13)
God honours those who honour Him (see 1 Sam.2.30); these young teenagers had learned that lesson well, believed that truth and were glad to act upon it – confident that the Lord’s honouring them would find visible expression in their lives.
How evident is it, and in what ways is it evident, to others that the hand of God is on your life as a believer?
Stepping out in faith is best done in fellowship with others: who are the people who support and encourage you as you seek with them to honour the Lord?
Prayer: Thank You, Father, for those who share with me that same resolve to honour You, and for the bonds of love in Christ which afford to them and me such strength.
