    Sight

    Read John 9.6-12

“.. so the man went and washed, and came home seeing ..” (Jn.9.7)

The command of Jesus is invested with creative power. Sight is restored to a man blind from birth. Where formerly there was only darkness, now there is light. It’s another ‘sign’, so far as John’s concerned. Jesus opens our eyes – we get to see the invisible!

To what extent can you make John Newton’s words your own, and declare that ‘I once was lost but now and found, was blind but now I see?

Moses persevered “.. because he saw Him who is invisible” (Heb.11.27): how has that capacity of faith enabled you to persevere?

Prayer: Keep me from being merely a hearer of Your Word: grant me grace today, in all I say and do, to act and speak according to Your Word.
