Sunday 11 April

Read Luke 24.9-12

“Peter  .. saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened” (Lk.24.12)

Peter and the other disciples may have been instinctively dismissive of the women’s testimony: but it stirred in him the desire to see for himself what the women had been on about – and he was off to the tomb as fast as his legs would carry him!

How does your eagerness to ‘know Christ and the power of His resurrection’ find expression in your life?

Is there room for ‘wonder’ in your worship – or do you (subconsciously) insist on your need to understand?

Prayer: May my worship today be marked by a sense of wonder; help me to rejoice, my Lord, in the knowledge that Your paths are past tracing out and Your ways perfect.
