Read John 4.46-47
“.. a certain royal official whose son lay sick ..” (Jn.4.46)
Neither position nor possessions can shield you from trouble! News that Jesus was back in Cana (of presumably quite widespread ‘water-into-wine’ fame) prompted this official to come and beg Him for help. Jesus changes things – He can help you too!
What testimony can you bear to the way in which the Lord has been there for you when you’ve been ‘close to death’ (either literally or metaphorically)?
To what extent has your ‘coming to Jesus’ been prompted by your having heard how He has wonderfully helped others?
Prayer: You, O Lord, have done great things! Help me today so to bear witness to all that You have done for me that those who hear will be drawn to trust You themselves.
