    Welcome

    Read John 4.43-45

“.. They had seen all that He had done in Jerusalem ..” (Jn.4.45)

Perhaps the different setting of Jerusalem enabled Galileans to see Jesus in a different light: some at least were more welcoming to Him on His return than the crowd at Nazareth had been. Holidays can serve that purpose, restoring a better perspective.

The three long Jewish festivals give guidance as to how ‘holy days’ are best observed and enjoyed: what are the key components of a good holiday?

How have you seen Jesus at work in recent weeks?

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for the gift of ‘holy days’. May this holiday season be a time of refreshment and renewal for those who are able to take such time away.
