Read John 4.27-30
“.. Come, see a man who told me everything I’ve ever done ..” (Jn.4.29)
It was Jesus’ knowledge of her which had made her so uncomfortable: but equally it was His knowledge of her which drew her to Him and saw her drawing others to Him also. This is the gospel – He who knows us through and through yet talks with us!
Does the fact that the Lord knows all the details of your heart and life disturb you, or delight you?
What is your message to your neighbours when you get the chance to speak to them about Jesus?
Prayer: You have searched me, LORD, and You know me. You hem me in behind and before, and You lay Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me.
