Read Philippians 3.17-4.1
“.. but our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Saviour ..” (Phil.3.20)
Where are you from and where are you headed? Where do you truly belong? Your citizenship will define both your ultimate loyalty and your instinctive lifestyle. A future glory, rather than present gratification, will fill your every horizon.
The pressures to succumb to a self-indulgent way of life are great: how do you resist the cultural ‘pull’ of such a way of life?
Are there areas of your life where you’re beginning to ‘wobble’ and where you realise you need to ‘stand firm’
Prayer: Thank You, Lord Jesus, for those older saints who look out for me and urge me on as I follow You. May their lives inspire me to stand firm and focussed on the future.
