Read Revelation 21.1-8
“Look! God’s dwelling is now among the people, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God ..” (Rev.21.3)
God’s story ends well: make sure you do too! The culmination of all that God has wrought for His people in Jesus is well worth waiting for – the pleasure of His presence for eternity removes all sorrows, dries all tears, and changes everything!
Are you ‘thirsting’ for the Lord’s nearer presence – or trying vainly to quench that thirst on other things?
How do you respond to the knowledge that there will be that ‘distinction between the righteous and the wicked’ (Mal.3.18)?
Prayer: As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, my God. Send me Your light and Your faithful care, let them lead me, let them bring me to Your holy mountain, to the place where You dwell (from Psalms 42 and 43)
