Hallowed

Read Malachi 1.9-11

“In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to Me, because My name will be great among the nations” (Mal.1.11)

Rituals without ‘reverence’ lose any significance they might otherwise have had; they become worthless, pointless, and a contradiction in terms. If God doesn’t find such ‘reverence’ among His people, He will go looking for it elsewhere.

Why is the LORD so dismissive of rituals without any real ‘reverence’?

In what ways might you ‘hallow’ the great name of God among the people you meet?

Prayer: Our Father in heaven, may Your Name be hallowed, may Your kingdom come, and may Your will be done: may my living today proclaim how great You are!
