Fortress
Read Psalm 46.8-11
“The LORD Almighty is with us: the God of Jacob is our fortress ..” (Ps.46.12)
There is both great comfort (for those who trust in Him) and great warning (for those who spurn Him) in the wonderful truth which the ‘chorus’ (vv.7 & 11) affirms: God has spoken and He will assuredly glorify His name and ‘pacify’ His people.
How does the repeated chorus (vv.7 & 11) encourage and comfort you?
What practical steps might you take the better to be regularly ‘still and know’ that He is God?
