Innocent
Read Daniel 6.19-22
“.. ‘My God sent His angel, and He shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in His sight ..’” (Dan.6.22)
The devil certainly prowls around like a roaring lion: but the Bible is the story of how God has shut the mouth of that would-be ‘lion’ – and opened the mouths of His people as (by His grace in Christ) they are found ‘innocent’ in His sight.
Can you think of circumstances in your own life when God has ‘sent His angel’ and wonderfully preserved you?
How would you answer someone who pointed to situations where ‘innocent’ individuals have not been preserved but have been unjustly killed?
Prayer: Thank You, heavenly Father, for Your preserving grace: You are my fortress – how thankful I am that under Your wings I will always find refuge (Ps.91)
