Resistance
Read Daniel 10.4-14
“.. ‘The prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty one days ..’” (Dan.10.13)
Daniel’s prayer was heard immediately: the answer, however, was delayed. The reason here had to do with the ‘great war’ (Dan.10.1) and ‘resistance’ from principalities and powers in the heavenly realms. Prayer involves us in that battle.
How hard do you find it to see ‘behind the scenes’ in relation to all the turmoil in today’s world and to discern the activity of the powers of darkness?
What are “the weapons we fight with” which “are not the weapons of the world” (2 Cor.10.3-4)? What ‘weapons’ are you using?
Prayer: Praise be to You, O Lord my Rock, that You train my hands for war, my fingers for battle (Ps.144.1): help me to persevere in prayer, assured of Your victory.
