Wise

Read Daniel 12.1-4

“‘.. at that time your people – everyone whose name is found written in the book – will be delivered ..’” (Dan.12.1)

There will be a terminal point in history, a stark and ultimate parting of the ways. It won’t be all the same for everyone in the end: for some, the ‘wise’ – everlasting life: for others – everlasting contempt. The ‘wise’ get that, and help others get it too.

What is meant by the reference to people’s names being ‘written in the book’?

Consider this: is the Lord challenging you today to be more the sort of person who will ‘lead many to righteousness’?

Prayer: Help me, Lord, to hold firmly to the word of life, to do everything without grumbling or arguing, that I may be pure and blameless and shine like a star in the sky.
