Enduring
Read Psalm 138.8
“.. Your love, LORD, endures for ever ..” (Ps.138.8)
The psalm ends on a high note of affirmation. What the Lord has done in the past (for others and for you), He will do in the future, both for you and for others for whom You care. Such confidence is rooted in the enduring, unchanging nature of His love.
You may be confident that God never leaves ‘the works of (His) hands’ half-finished (Phil.1.6): how does that encourage your heart today?
What is the work of God in and through Jesus, and what will be the final consummation of that work?
Prayer: You, my Lord, are the resurrection and the life! What comfort there is in knowing that You will not abandon that work begun in me. Help me praise You today!
