Read Philippians 4.10-13
“.. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation ..” (Phil.4.12)
Your circumstances will always be unpredictable, your plans at best provisional. Root your life and living in that which never changes and of which you can be always sure. Jesus is the same – yesterday, today, forever. He daily strengthens you. Without fail!
Is this a time of plenty or of need for you? What lessons have you been learning through this past week?
What instances spring to mind when you’ve been conscious of the Lord giving you strength for the facing of particular challenges?
Prayer: Give me strength, Lord Jesus, for all that I must do today. Conversations that will be awkward. Choices which are hard. Tasks I’d rather not be having to do.
