“.. the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord ..” (Phil.3.8)
Everything pales into insignificance beside the relational experience of knowing the risen Lord Jesus. Freedom, health, popularity, fame, qualifications, career, friends, possessions – nothing is more to be prized nor more important than knowing Jesus.
What do you prize most dearly?
Why does Paul include not only ‘the power of His resurrection’ but ‘the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings’ alongside the desire to know Jesus?
